This is because Ram Bagh and Aram Bagh both means same. Earlier it is known by the name of Aram Bagh and later during Maratha rule over Agra, they renamed it as Ram Bagh and thus it become more popular name of this garden. Those who are searching for historical Agra Gardens would definitely like Ram Bagh. It is counted among popular Agra tourist attractions and enlisted in best gardens in Uttar Pradesh Tourism. Mughals are known for making beautiful gardens in various parts of India like Delhi, Agra, Kashmir etc. Their love for nature & garden distinguishes them different from other ruling dynasties of India. Gardens beauty of nature, with superb architecture and planning makes them a real paradise. One of the earliest Mughal gardens, it is believed to be made by Mughal Emperor Babur, the founder of Mughal dynasty. It is said that Babur was temporarily buried here before being taken to Kabul in Afghanistan. It is located about 5 kilometers northeast of the Taj Mahal in Agra. The garden was built to entertain the Emperor's guests and also for the relaxation of the Emperor and his loyal people. This beautiful garden is famous for its unique style of design and attractive layout that portrays the love of the Mughal for natural beauty. It is a Persian Garden, Where pathways and canals divide the garden to represent the Islamic idea of paradise. It is situated on the banks of Yamuna River.

Location
The Ram Bagh or Aram Bagh Garden is in the historical city of Agra, 3 km away from the Itimad-ud-Daulah's tomb, and 500 meters from Chini ka Rauza. Both the monuments are in south of Rambagh. It lies on the left bank of Yamuna river in Agra. Due to presence of Yamuna river, close to it, this garden gets enough water supply to sustain, even after many centuries. In Uttar Pradesh state, Ram Bagh lies in central west of Agra.

History
It is said that the real name of Ram Bagh was Aram Bagh means Garden for the rest. But when the Maratha rules Agra in 17th Century, renamed it as Ram Bagh. It was made in 1858 AD. The Garden was originally made by the founder of Mughal dynasty, emperor Babur. It is also said that the Tomb of Babur was there for some time and shifted to Kabul, after some years. This garden was well maintained by Jahangir. Nur Jahan wife of emperor Jahangir made many changes and addition to make it more beautiful.

Architecture
The garden was also known as Bagh-i-Gul Afshan. Aram Bagh is a planned garden that follows the Charbagh pattern. There are four main sections that are crisscrossed by waterways and pathways. Water plays the most important theme here too. As it is situated on the bank of river Yamuna, water is drawn from the river itself. The water is then distributed throughout the park in a cascade that has been built over three terraces. The northeastern side contains a terrace that go to a hammam. However, one can see them in ruins. There are some ruined houses that were built in red sandstone. Additional water features throughout the grounds, including a series of fountains. The three-level pattern of the garden maintained comprised of: flowers and vegetables on the first level; flower beds on the second; and tanks and terraces on the third one. There was also a well done stone-paved terrace.

Best time to visit
After above information, now it is known fact that Rambagh or Aram Bagh is a garden, on the bank of Yamuna river. For any nature related site, monsoon is their best time to visit when greenery is at its best. Similar is the condition with this garden. Here monsoon season prevails from July to September when Yamuna have enough water that it overflows and touches garden area. It is the best time to enjoy the nature. But most of the tourists visits Ram Bagh from October - March period when majority of holidays and festivals falls. After cease of monsoon season, Yamuna flows in his limits and thus it is best time to visit Ram Bagh. Inbound tourists visits it till April month, when summer season begins and their tourist flow reduces. In fact one can visit it at any day of year but winters are the best time to visit because as climate is pleasant and you can walk comfortably and feel that how the Mughals spent their leisure time. The Garden is open from sunrise to sunset. The entry fee for Indians & SAARC countries citizen is Rs. 10 and for foreigners it is Rs. 500 per person. These fee figures are as per year 2017 but it may be possible that later fee structure get changed, without any prior notice. Tourists should buy both the ADA (Agra Development Authority) and ASI (Archeological Survey of India) tickets, or else the entry will be banned. Tourists should note that there is no entry fee for children below 15 years of age, from any country. You can take a trip to Chinni ka Rouza Tomb, which is located just a 10 minute walk away.
