Soami Bagh Temple


Soami Bagh Temple Agra Agra is a historical city. It plays an important role in Mughal Dynasty but on the other hand other religions are also here. In this chain there is a Soami Bagh related with Radhaswami faith. It is also called Dayal Bagh. The Radhaswami Faith is located at Saomi Bagh in Agra,India . Sant Das has concluded in his saying that the current coming from Sat Desh (the pure spiritual regions) has it's 1st point of contact on earth at Soami Bagh . This sacred place blessed with the Dayal Bagh Temple is a prime religious attraction about 15 km away from Agra and it draws huge flock of devotees everyday all through the year.


Saomi bagh was first bought by Saomiji Maharaj and he used to stay in the garden area, held satsangs and performed many spiritual practices. There are plenty of satsang specific buildings. The most important of them is the samadhi of Saomji Maharaj. Construction of this building initiated in the time of Maharaj Saheb and is still under progress. Satsang is held in the lower portion of the Samadhi once each day. Next to Samadhi is bhajan ghar where Soamji Maharaj performed the spiritual practises. Babuji Maharaj's home was loacted on the grounds of Soami Bagh . His descendants live there. Next to his house is the humble quarter where Sant Das lived and worked. Construction of the Soami Bagh was started in 1908 and believe of devotees is that it will be never come to end. In fact many people assume it as Next Taj Mahal. Main tourist attraction is here's stone carving that comprises of blending of colored marble. The marble of tomb contributes to its brilliant appearance making it an extraordinary monument in India.


It is a group of many beautiful buildings which act as accommodation options for satsangis or devotees. There are a number of satsang specific buildings on the grounds. The most significant of which is the Samadh of Soamiji Maharaj. This building was started in the time of Maharaj Saheb and is currently under construction at this time. Satsang is held in the lower portion of the Samadh once per day. Adjacent to the Samadh is Bhajan Gar where Soamiji Maharaj performed the spiritual practices and satsang is also held once per day. Also on the grounds of Soami Bagh is the home of Babuji Maharaj where Satsang is held twice each day. The descendants of Babuji Maharaj live here to this day. Next to Babuji's house and next to the main gate is the humble quarters where Sant Das lived and work. Here also Nirmal Das came to stay in his retirement from public service.

Soami Bagh Samadhi

Soami Bagh samadhi in Agra is considered as must visit place to visit, during Agra sightseeing. It is one of the remarkable tourist spot of the city that derives tourist from all over world. Soami Bagh Samadhi is a mausoleum of Huzur, who was the initiator of Radhaswami faith. Devotees of Radhaswami group have high regard to this place and visiting to this place is like pilgrimage for them.

Other Attractions

Other buildings provide kitchen facilities for Bhandara festivals that take place at Soami Bagh many times in a year. Bhadra festivals are held to recall and remark the departure of the past Sant Sat Gurus and Satsangis from all over the world attend them. Administrative offices for use by Radhaswami trust and the central administrative council and accommodations are provided for Satsangi visitors. During the period of independence of India and division of India and Pakistan, displaced Satsangis were provided shelter at Soami Bagh and are still used till date. Some accommodations are also provided for visiting satsangis as well. In Agra itself are the homes of Soamji Maharaj and the home and samadh of Huzur Maharaj. Soami Bagh Benares, India is the location of the Samadh of Maharaj Saheb. It is located in the area of Benares where Kabir once lived. An annual Bhandara is held there to salute the departure of Maharaj Saheb.

Best time to visit

It is a promiment Agra tourist attractions. Devotees and tourists from all over the world visit this place to express their regards, prayers and enjoy the beauty of this holy site. Soami Bagh is open for all visitors, throughout the year. It is accessible throughout the year, in all seasons. For devotees, best time to visit Soami Bagh Samadhi is whenever they get the chance, irrespective to season, month, time. Still majority of visitor comes in period of October to April which is the main tourism season in Agra. In summers i.e. May-July and monsoon season (July-Sept), tourists arrival falls but no fall in visits of devotees. For holy places, their is no best time or worst time. Whenever we visit, that was the best time for us.
